Getting in shape

Before I gave birth to my daughter I was a size 8. My stomach was big but the rest of my body seemed ok. I really thought she was going to weigh about 8-10lbs, and loose the baby weight fast. Unfortunately for me she only weighed 6lbs 14oz, so the weight was on me! I said ok, Im going to shed these pounds fast, it just takes some time(so naive). Its like the weight is stuck! lol I cant get rid of it. I still have all my size 8 jeans, medium shirts. A year later I still wear my matertnity clothes because I refuse to buy size 16. I wish I could just stop eating, starve myself and still be healthy! Even with a husband time is limited. I have no idea where to begin, trying to lose the pounds. Really its the stomach. I hate my body, but my husband says he loves it, but he doesnt have to wear matertnity clothes!!! lol Is it possible to tone up the stomach after having a baby, especially the bottom part of the stomach? Its a little fluffy, I call it my pillow.lol

Re: Getting in shape

omg! I know what you mean. before I used to be a size 5! and now... I fit into my mom's size 15 pants! maternity clothing still fits me so snug and I hate it. I literally put all that clothing in a box and it's taped up, never to be opened. I used to think before i was ugly, but now I can't even see myself in the mirror b/cuz I will literally breakdown and cry. I have stretchmarks everywhere and I gained more than 50 lbs during my pregnancy. I've lost about 20 pounds already, and I'm fitting into size 9 and 10 pants. My shirts don't reallly fit much, I have to use Large and XL in order for my stomache not to show. I've been walking alot, and I'm wearing like a corset on my stomache everytime I do exercise, it seems to help shed the pounds faster! That and I'm also cleaning, lifting things, and moving around alot....  [I've also been limiting down my food as well. so far my appetite doesn't seem to like the idea of eating. So sad to say, I only eat once every day...]

so far, that's what helped me lose some pounds. Hope that helps.

Re: Getting in shape

Here are some tips that I hope you find helpful.

1.Eat in moderation...DO NOT clean your plate, leave some food on your plate instead of eating everything.

2. A friend of mine lost 20lbs in 3 weeks on a rice diet.  She would fix butter rice, roast beef with rice, eggs and rice, vegs and rice.  They were all one pan meals.

3.  Don't try to loose too much too fast...you want your skin to shrink with you as the weight comes off.

4. Get an exercise video that concentrates toning the stomach area.

Hope you can get something from this

Unfortunately, my best advice is a slimming undergarment! :)
